COVID safety at this conference

Congress and the Molly Wardaguga Research Centre are committed to keeping delegates safe while bringing everyone together in Mparntwe.

This conference is a COVID-safe event. Measures will be in place in line with the level of risk at the time of the event, determined by public health advice.

This may include a requirement for attendees to wear masks while at indoor events, to maintain physical distancing (1.5m) where possible and to undertake testing if required.

Importantly, if you have any symptoms please do not attend this event. We appreciate your help in keeping yourself, each other and the community COVID-safe.

Male attendance at this conference

With respect, male participation in this conference will be limited to selected sections, workshops and activities.

This decision has been made in the interests of maintaining Arrernte Aboriginal traditional cultural law, while also acknowledging the important role of men in strengthening family as well as in the health care sector, along with the need for inclusivity where not risking cultural safety.

Additionally, woman at the event will be empowered to safely signal if/when male attendance is preventing full and comfortable participation in discussion.
